WISCONSIN PATCH
As our story goes, PATCH started up in Wisconsin and is still our main headquarter spot!
Wisconsin PATCH "formalized" in 2019 to serve as a hub and community of practice for PATCH programming in the state. It's our intentional (and robust!) statewide youth leadership and engagement infrastructure! And, we also test new and innovative strategies and materials here before integrating them formally into our programming.
Wisconsin PATCH has an awesome PAID staff of 10+ adult humans (including our PATCH Coaches) and anywhere from 50-100 youth! We also are supported by numerous interns and community members.
We have folks that:
- Implement virtual or in-person youth programming.
- Nurture cross collaboration and partnerships.
- Manage finances.
- Build program awareness.
- ...and, everything in between!
It's a team effort and could not do it without them!
As a team, we have 3 main goals!
- Implement PATCH Youth Engagement Programs
- Be a youth engagement coach, mentor, and resource
- Prioritize continuous learning and quality improvement: we improve upon what works and try new, innovative strategies along the way!
Wisconsin PATCH is sustained through various revenues streams, such as private foundation grants, state-level grants, fundraising, and in-kind donations.
